NIA Makes Major Breakthrough in Delhi Red Fort Blast Investigation.

On November 10, 2025, a car exploded near the Red Fort in Delhi, killing at least 15 people and injuring more than 20 others . On November 12, the Indian government labeled the incident as a terrorist act.

Six people have been arrested by the National Investigation Agency so far in connection with the ‘white collar’ terror module linked to the blast . The arrested suspects include Jasir Bilal Wani, a resident of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, who is charged with providing technical support for carrying out terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets for the terror module .

Authorities said the car that exploded was registered to Amir Rashid Ali, who they alleged had traveled to New Delhi from Indian-controlled Kashmir to facilitate the purchase of the vehicle . Investigators later traced the car used in the explosion to Umar Mohammed, a Pulwama-based doctor, who worked at Al-Falah University in Faridabad and had alleged links to individuals arrested during earlier police raids .

DNA analysis of the human remains found in the vehicle identified Umar as one of the occupants of the car . On November 14, the Indian Army demolished Umar’s house in Quil village in Pulwama district .

According to investigators, the radicalization of these professionals began around 2019 through social media platforms, with handlers believed to be linked to the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit recruiting them through encrypted messaging apps.
