Mangaluru, Feb 19: A new police outpost was inaugurated at the Mangaluru International Airport to strengthen security and improve law and order inside the airport premises.
The outpost was inaugurated by Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara. Officials said the new facility will help in quick response to emergencies, better crowd management, and improved safety for passengers and airport staff.
The police outpost will function round the clock. It will handle security issues, passenger complaints, lost-and-found cases, and any law and order situation within the airport area.
Authorities stated that the move is part of efforts to enhance overall security at the airport, considering the growing passenger traffic and increasing international operations.
Senior police officials, airport authorities, and other dignitaries were present during the inauguration.
