MANGALURU: The Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) has issued a powerful statement fiercely condemning the recent physical assault on a Madrasa Ustad (religious teacher) in Krishnapura, on the outskirts of Mangaluru.
Expressing profound outrage and deep distress over the disturbing nature of the incident, KCF stated that public humiliation and physical violence against an educator is an unpardonable offense that sends a dangerous message to the community.
Serious Impact on Society
The organization highlighted that Madrasa teachers earn a highly respected place in our community as they instill core values,(moral grounding), and goodness in children. Attacking or publicly abusing them severely impacts the impressionable minds of children and disrupts social harmony.
Furthermore, it was noted that many teachers already work under immense financial constraints, drawing nominal salaries out of devotion to their service. If the community fails to guarantee them basic respect and physical safety, educators may choose to completely withdraw from the field—a loss for which society will have to pay a very heavy price in the future.
Demand for Immediate Protection and Accountability
The KCF leadership has respectfully yet firmly urged the local Jamaath Committee to take all necessary and proactive measures to guarantee the Ustad’s safety, restore confidence, and provide absolute support to him during this challenging time.
Additionally, the organization has called upon law enforcement authorities to take stringent action against the perpetrator to ensure such incidents are never repeated.
